About this build
David D. lit up the front of his 1994 Stewart & Stevenson LMTV M1078, a military cab-over that already has plenty of presence. Up front, a pair of Hyper Series LED Pods runs amber and white dual output, the same style we sell as ditch lights, giving the LMTV wide usable light in either color.
Amber and white pods are a practical choice on a truck this size. Alongside them, a pair of Dual Purpose Chase Pods adds amber/white light with a built-in strobe, which is useful on a big truck that needs to be seen. Both pairs run through a Dual Harness, which gives two leads so more lights can be added later without starting the wiring over. Every part on this build is in the parts list above.

What is the difference between a single and dual harness?
A Single harness runs one light on one switch with no expansion. A Dual harness has two leads so you can add lights later.

How it’s installed
- Mount the Hyper Series pods and the Dual Purpose Chase Pods on the front of the truck.
- Wire the pods with the Dual Harness, which has two leads so you can add lights later.
- Route the harness away from heat and moving parts and keep connections sealed.
